Earlier, we told you about Meek Mill‘s surprise mixtape, in which he took jabs at 50 Cent on the track “Gave Em Hope.” Well…something about Meek and social media just doesn’t mix, and 50 Cent had a field day ever since last night (1/17) with the Philadelphia rapper.

After an onslaught of memes made and reposted by 50 Cent, Meek Mill officially clapped back with a few words of his own, alleging that 50 had put multiple people behind bars for life — in other words, 50 Cent is a “rat” according to Meek.

Hours later, a fan urged the two rappers via Twitter to put aside their honestly stupid feud, and help the citizens of Flint, Michigan. Nearly two years ago, the state decided to save money by switching Flint‘s water supply from Lake Huron (which they were paying the city of Detroit for), to the Flint River, a notorious body of water that runs through town, which is known to locals for its filth.

Trying to relingquish his “Twitter/Insta-fingers” title, Meek Mill stopped with the back and forth on social media, and proposed a challenge to the “I Get Money” rapper.

Meek says via Instagram:

“I got 50k to donate to waters … Let’s see if we can have @50cent match me! I’m pretty sure “flint” supported us! Serious post contact …. Roc nation will purchase for me and ship! Not even just him all entertainers! I ain’t got the [time] posting memes and shit…”

Seemingly responding to the call to action, Diddy has taken the initiative to donate fresh water to the city of Flint, MI, and we gotta hand it to Meek for raising even more awareness to this issue in the music industry, and getting more helping hands involved. Diddy has pledged to use his AquaHydrate water company to host a water drive for the city.

As of 5:00 EST, 50 Cent has not responded to Meek‘s challenge, but we’ll keep our ear to this one as it unfolds.
