On our 2nd time heading to the Big Apple to see the latest looks during New York Fashion Week, we had the opportunity to attend Day 1 of Style Fashion Week!

Taking place aboard the Intrepid Sea, Air, & Space Museum, the day was filled with Spring/Summer 2018 releases of a few of the most prominent designers including Malan Breton, Jessie Zhao, Marco Marco, Ionica, Peyman Umay, Gregorio Sanchez, and Meriem Belkhayat, with life-size fashion illustrations from artist Oksana Tanasiv. Musicians Christine W, Amanda Holley, and Mikhayla Hughes-Shaw highlighted the day with their powerhouse voices and use of interpretive dance and live instruments, seamlessly blending together fashion, art, music, and culture.

Peyman Umay‘s S/S ’18 collection features a simplified (but no less regal) palette of red, black, and white. The celebrity luxury business-wear designer used masked male and female models, setting his looks apart in the best way on Day 1 of Style Fashion Week, combining an intimidating, gothic visage with even more imposing and hard-to-ignore suits.
