The DJ world lost a great master of the wheels today. Legendary house DJ Frankie Knuckles has reportedly passed away, with both DJ Deeon and Paul Johnson confirming the news.

Knuckles began DJing in New York with Larry Levan, moving to Chicago in 1977 and DJing at the famed Warehouse and then his own club, The Power Plant. Since then, he has remained an integral part of house music, past and present.
