Parents who were just trying to encourage creativity in their kids on Christmas Day got the surprise of their lives when they found the tool was inside their child’s new Play-Doh “Sweet Shoppe Mountain” Playset.

Being described by the Play-Doh company as a “mold,” anyone can clearly see that this toy is a huge mistake for kids! I’m not entirely sure how it works, but something tells me if you press hard enough on the base of the “cake topper,” that some of the dough will spill out from the tip, and that just made me frown to think about. Come on, guys at Play-Doh.

Angry parents took to the official Play-Doh Facebook page to voice their concerns. Check out more photos of the crazy “cake topper” below.

Play-Doh released an official apology to parents, saying they are removing the toy from future “Sweet Shoppe Mountain” playsets.

“We have heard some consumer feedback about the extruder tool in the Play-Doh Cake Mountain playset and are in the process of updating future Play-Doh products with a different tool.”

Fashion designer Tom Ford is also under fire for his new neck piece. What is it with you guys and penises?
