Designer Karl Lagerfeld has tapped Pharrell Williams and model Cara Delevingne to star in his new short film for Chanel, titled “Reincarnation”.

With Pharrell and Cara portraying Emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Elisabeth Joseph respectively, Karl Lagerfeld directed the film to accompany the CHANEL Paris-Salzburg 2014/15 Métiers d’art collection to be shown on December 2nd, 2014 in Salzburg, Austria. The 40-second film teaser finds the two style influencers romantically waltzing to Pharrell‘s “CC The World”, the original soundtrack for the film.

As legend would have it, while holidaying at an Austrian resort in 1954, a young Gabrielle “CoCo” Chanel became so enthralled by the jacket worn by a hotel elevator operator, that it went on to inspire one of the most iconic items of women’s clothing of all time. Lagerfeld wanted to capture the magic of this moment, also calling on actress Geraldine Chaplin, who will be portrayed for a second time as “Mademoiselle Chanel”. Take a look at the fancy fantasy video below! Both Pharrell and Cara will be the faces of the upcoming campaign of the Paris-Salzburg 2014/15 Métiers d’art collection, and we can’t wait for the collection photos to release! “Reincarnation” will be screened in Salzburg and on on December 1st, 2014 the night before the Paris-Salzburg show.
