While we’re still not sold on the vocals, Nicki Minaj has finally released the video to “Pills N Potions”, the first single from her upcoming album The Pinkprint.

via Complex:

She’s been teasing it since the song dropped last month, and after two lyric videos, the full Diane Martel-directed video is here, with visual effects from Geoffrey Lillemon.

Martel, who is the mastermind behind Minaj’s “Right Thru Me” video as well, uses some stunning yet simple visuals, with a handful of visual effects thanks to Lillemon. Meanwhile, Game plays Nicki’s love interest—which is great, because last month he was spitting a diss track over her heavy “Chi-Raq” instrumentals.

Either way, Martel’s vision isn’t over the top, which fits right in with Nicki’s raw emotions all over the track, and her natural look. Plus, we can’t help but note the Alice in Wonderland themes throughout the video, too. It’s the most honest and emotional we’ve heard her on a song in quite some time, and if anything, gets us even more excited for the stories on The Pink Print. Watch “Pills N Potions” below.
