Fantastic Negrito’s highly anticipated debut full-length record The Last Days of Oakland is out today on Believe Global Label Services/Blackball Universe. The album is currently streaming via NPR Music’s First Listen.

The Bay Area singer-songwriter, a.k.a. Xavier Dphrepaulezz, will celebrate the album’s release with a free record release show at Oakland First Fridays tonight (6/3) before embarking on an extensive North American tour with Chris Cornell. The band is also set for upcoming festival performances at Outside Lands and Interstellar Rodeo Edmonton and Winnipeg this summer; see below for a complete list of dates.

Dphrepaulezz recently made his national television debut as Fantastic Negrito on the season finale of Fox’s “Empire,” performing both his single “Lost in a Crowd”—the track that brought him to national attention, winning NPR’s inaugural Tiny Desk Concert Contest—and the hit song “Good Enough” alongside “Empire’s” Jamal Lyon. Watch/share the performance here.
