New Zealand wunderkind, TAPZ, has released his much anticipated new single called “Murder, Murder.” Not one for making an explosive entrance, TAPZ has once again stunned his fans with a poignant video to accompany the track’s release.

After bursting on to the scene earlier this year with his powerful track “Run Don’t Run“, this second single proves to cement TAPZ as an exciting talent to watch. At just 22 years old, TAPZ has proven that his talent surpasses age, borders, and genres – his blend of trap, grunge, and hip hop is a unique sound brought forward by the Kiwi (by way of Zimbabwe) in a new sound he’s calling “noir R&B.”

Born in Wedza, Zimbabwe and raised in Auckland, New Zealand, TAPZ first rose to notoriety last year with his viral hit “KILLA” – a three and half minute banger, which received a mix from Ricky Reed, with booming bass and synth drops. The single spread quickly with support from Zane Lowe and his Beats 1 show who adopted him early and played the track regularly.

He followed that success with the first single off his upcoming debut project, “Run Don’t Run,” which first premiered on Highsnobiety, that boosted his profile here in the U.S. and putting him in the running as an artist to watch. With his collaborative management deal between G.O.O.D. Management and Control Music Group, TAPZ is also a sought after producer, who has written and produced tracks with the likes of 6LACK, Wynter Gordon, Vic Mensa, Hermitude and more. TAPZ’s music is born from the new flurry of trap, rap and R&B; reenergized with foot thumping synths, 808s, and powerful melodies – leading the charge of a new sound.
