New Jersey is back in a major way!!! In their brand new music video for “God Is Us,” Naughty By Nature takes the world back to East Orange, New Jersey where it all began. With the group’s iconic mentor, Queen Latifah on the hook, the track serves as medicinal music for the hip-hop renaissance that’s currently taking over our great state. The message in the song is simple: It’s up to all of us to collectively ensure that our communities are taken care of and uplifted by us.

“We’re on a small planet with with problems. No matter what your race or religion, we need to react as a tribe. The future is in our hands. God may not come when you call him, but He’s always on time. We’re in that era where we need to protect our seeds and our foundations. God Is Us.”

Back at our first Jersey Music Meeting, member Vin Rock gave the formula to success for New Jersey artists that Naughty By Nature themselves had concocted and employed when they were just beginning their journey through the music industry. “The thing about us is that we went show for show, club for club. We mastered our following in our own backyard, and finally, we were ready to take ourselves out of Jersey,” he says. Read the rest of that article here.
