The Queens rapper kicked off the independence-themed festivities last night in the NO, following crooner Trey Songz with a full set that kept the crowd at the Super Dome on their feet.

Tearing through tracks such as “NY State Of Mind,” “Stillmatic,” “One Mic,” and more, Esco also took out the time to pay respects to the late Maya Angelou.

“Rest in peace to the queen, Maya Angelou,” said Nas before delving into his classic record “One Mic.”
