Alexandre Arnault

He stands at over six feet tall. His last name commands respect and grants him an audience with the worlds elite. He is the child of Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, better known as LVMH. Alexandre Arnault, the son of the richest man in Paris, Bernard Arnault. Bernard is Chief Executive Officer of LVMH and Chairman of Christian Dior, and his 25-year-old son, Alexandre might just be his secret weapon when it comes to fighting the digital battle.

Studying technology and friends with some of Silicon Valley’s most prominent tech moguls, Alexandre Arnault has become his father’s advisor in seemingly all things tech related. At 25 years old, Alexandre is already Co-CEO of luxury luggage company Rimowa, known for its four-wheeled aluminum suitcases. He was appointed to the role after LVMH purchased the brand in a multimillion-dollar deal.

Some critics would say nepotism. However, what many don’t know and what Alexandre revealed to The Business of Fashion is that he, himself spent more than two years courting the former owner of the luggage brand. Alexandre, also revealed that his father, with all five of his children, is very keen on meritocracy. And if that’s true, is the young Alexandre Arnault ready for the role of CEO? Can he stand up to his father’s standards? Only time will tell. The world is watching Arnault and Rimowa too.
