Future drops off the official video for the popular “Codeine Crazy” single from his Monster mixtape. Although he’s just released his Beast Mode mixtape not too long ago, the Atlanta superstar has been dropping new visuals from Monster every week as part of his #MonsterMondays series. In the visuals directed by Vincent Lou Film, Future wanders through an open field, plagued with visions of a beautiful woman draped in white whose eyes flash with different shades of purple, embodying a very alluring substance — promethazine-codeine.

Although very popular, the fact remains that the song, produced by TM-88, is about Future‘s struggle with an addiction, very much akin to Kendrick Lamar‘s “Swimming Pools” video and single. The video in itself is artistic, and takes a surrealist approach with its use of distorted images, vast open spaces, and abnormal colorways making it one of Future‘s most appealing visuals yet.
