We got to check out Talib Kweli and Styles P on their joint tour for their collab album, The 7 Album. The two were joined on stage by members of Kweli‘s Javotti Media record label, K. Valentine of Chicago and Niko Is, hailing from Brazil.

The event was one of the best hip-hop shows we’ve ever seen, taking us through the histories of Kweli, Styles P, Kanye West, Sean Price, J. Dilla, Slum Village, The LOX, Phife Dawg and A Tribe Called Quest.

Taking place at the historic Theater of the Living Arts (TLA) in Philadelphia, over 700 people packed the place almost to capacity to hear the vibes of Talib Kweli and Styles P. The two men came back for an encore performance of their recently-released single “Last Ones,” which you can check out below!

Check out our photo recap in our gallery taken by our very own Abe Rodriguez. Be sure to click back soon for exclusive interviews featuring K. Valentine and Niko Is!
