Tyga has a great justification for why you should give him $300 for one of his new t-shirts…they’re art.

Hitting Saks Fifth Avenue to promote the release of his latest capsule collection with Marcelo Burlon, the “Make It Nasty” rapper unveiled his latest set of threads, not associated with the official Last Kings stamp.

Unlike his usually affordable LK clothing line, this collection comes with a more hefty price tag. It features t-shirts for upwards $200, hoodies, shorts, and a jacket going for $1,802, although who needs that when you can get another one just like it for the low, low price of $1,245!

“My favorite piece is the hoodie,” Tyga said of the five-piece collection of T-shirts, sweatshirts and shorts, adding that it was “cool” to do his first in-store appearance at “a high-end department store. It was really dope.” Eric Jennings, vice president and men’s fashion director of Saks, traded his suit for a black leather jacket, jeans and a T-shirt for the event. “The collection looks great,” he said, “and it’s selling.”

We don’t know if this Kylie/Blac Chyna situation has his pockets tapped, but he offered up this explanation of his price range to Refinery29:

“It’s an art, you know? You’re selling the dream,” Tyga said. “And it’s like, what is someone willing to pay for this art? I justify the price with what I feel my worth is. It’s like, yo, do you love me that much? Do you understand my art that much that you’re willing to pay?”

We’re not so sure we do. Even still, if you’ll be buying the pieces, get a look in our gallery and tell us your favorites in the comment section below!
