How could anyone forget how last year’s Grammy Awards opening performance up a sultry Beyoncé performing her song “Drunk in Love” along with a burlesque-like chair dance. Tonight the mega-Pop and R&B diva will take the stage again performing on a more serious note. Beyoncé will sing “Take My Hand Precious Lord” and then team up with John Legend and Common for a joint-segue performance of Common’s song “Glory” which is not only from the movie Selma but also nominated for an Oscar. “Glory” has already won a Golden Globe at this year’s 2015 award show.

Common told US Weekly that having Beyoncé perform first is an “incredible introduction to our performance.” She is nominated for 6 awards this year including: Album of the Year, Best R&B Performance, Best R&B Song, Best Urban Contemporary Album, Best Surround-Sound Album, and Best Music Film. These six nominations total her Grammy nomination record to 53 making her the most nominated  female artist in the history of the Recording Academy. She has taken home 17 Grammy Awards from her list of nominations. This year’s 57th Annual Grammy Awards air on the CBS Network tonight at 8PM. Her performance of the emotionally powerful song, “Glory” will be one that you don’t want to miss!
